Copyright Policy

This policy explains who owns the music on this site, what a licence transfers, and how to report material that infringes copyright.

Ownership

Every beat in the catalogue is an original work, and the copyright in the underlying composition and recording belongs to the producer.

Buying a licence gives you the right to use a beat on the terms of that licence. It does not transfer ownership of the copyright, except where the licence you bought states in terms that it does.

What your licence covers

The scope of your rights is whatever the licence you bought says, as set out in the Licensing section. Uses outside that scope are not authorised, and the deliberate omission of a right from a licence means that right was not granted.

Credit

Any producer credit required of you is stated in your licence. Where it is required, it forms part of the terms you agreed to.

Samples and clearance

Where a beat contains third-party material that would need separate clearance, that is disclosed before purchase. If you believe a beat contains material that has not been cleared, tell us and it will be investigated and taken down while that happens.

Reporting infringement

If you own a copyright and believe material on this site infringes it, write to il.beats.ye@gmail.com with the following:

Identification of the work you say has been infringed.
The location on this site of the material you are reporting.
Your name, address and email address.
A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
Your signature, electronic or physical.

What happens next

Material that is the subject of a valid notice is removed or disabled promptly, and whoever supplied it is told. If you believe your material was removed in error, you can send a counter-notice to the same address setting out why, and it will be considered.

Repeat infringement

Accounts and licences belonging to anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright will be terminated.

Unauthorised use

Using a beat without a licence, or beyond the licence you hold, is copyright infringement. Where that happens, the licence is void and we may pursue any remedy available, including takedown requests to platforms and distributors.
